Umbharat, Gujarat: Umbharat is a holiday spot in Gujarat having a beautiful beach. Umbharat is primarily a village, but over the time have transformed itself into a tourist destination. With many resorts springing fast and furious, this low-key place has the makings of being the next Goa in India. Umbharat, whose beach once served the local people is becoming ever popular.

The difference that stands out between Goa and Umbharat, is very glaring -- Umbharat which happens to be in Gujarat is a dry state; what this means is that "Alcohol" cannot be served in Gujarat. Officially that is. Umbharat is well geared for family outings as it has many resorts which includes water parks.

Climate: As Umbharat is located in the northern part of India (~21° N), it has a rather temperate climate as compared to the tropics. In winters, the maximum can reach 31 °C with minimum of 12 °C. Summers' are a bit warmer with maximum being in lower 40s (°C) and minimum being mid 20s (°C). Rainfall is provided by the monsoons which strike Gujarat around early to mid June and can stay until mid September. Precipitation is about 931.9 mm. for the calendar year. Weather (bearing gobal warming) is rather predictable.
